I promised myself that once the Christmas rush was over, and I had spare money again, I would try one of these felt-covered soaps. It's a cute idea - little bars of soap wrapped in soft Merino wool, for your sudsy scrubbing enjoyment. Doesn't it sound delightful? Of course, in true procrastinatory fashion, I haven't bought one yet. But I will soon, and let you know how it goes... If you can't wait for me, check it out for yourself at the SoFino shop on etsy.

Clueless was one of my all time favourite movies when I was 13. I guess it was because I was a real tomboy at that age, and seeing a movie about "girly-girls" made me want to aspire to that - even though I never understood why. I thought I would watch the film again last night, as I was still saddened by Brittany Murphy's death. It's quite strange, when you mourn for someone you've never even met before - but in a weird way you feel connected to them through their films and the characters they played. Brittany always...

When I was eight years old, I wanted a photocopier. Mum and dad said no. Fine. I made my own. I stapled two pieces of paper together and wrote 'photocopier' on the side. Nobody was impressed. But boy, twenty years later, I'm still proud of my tenacity and determination. Damn, I'm good. This papercraft castle on the ocean however, puts my ingenuity to shame. A stunning display of cut x paste by Wataru Itou, complete with electric lights and a moving paper train. Check out the blog post - it really is amazing...

My goodness, it's been awhile since my last post. Sorry. I do actually have a lot of stuff to show you, but been poor on opportunities to sit and type it all out. With 2009 now coming to a close, it's been easier to take a time out and hop back on the ball. So let's get stuck in, hey? I saw this t-shirt in a shopping newsletter two months ago. It's Wire & Twine's Train Smart-tee, hand-screened on a kids-cut American Apparel t-shirt. It comes with the whole alphabet - yes, all twenty-six letters - printed upside...
